Lakme Clean-Up Nourishing Glow Face Wash

Lakme had recently introduced their new professional Clean-Up range which comprise of a face wash, a scrub and a mask, the face wash to cleanse the visible dirt, scrub to exfoliate the dead cell and mask to nourish the skin. The clean-up range is enriched with strawberry extracts which will provide a soft and radiant skin .The one which I am going to review today is Lakme Clean-Up nourishing glow face wash.

What the company claims about the product:

“Cleanse your face with Lakme Clean- Up Nourishing Glow Face wash. This face wash removes visible dirt, excess sebum and impurities, preparing your skin for a deep cleansing experience. It contains strawberry, glycerine and microcrystalline wax beads.

How to apply:

Squeeze a coin sized amount on your palms and lather up with lukewarm water.

Gently massage your wet face for 30-60 seconds.

Rinse with lukewarm water.

Use it at least twice a day for clean, soft and radiant skin.

Packaging:

Lakme Clean Up face comes in a tiny red colour tube with a silver screw cap. The writing is in silver font. It might look big in the picture but it is really small in size, just like the Himalaya travel size face wash. The ingredients list is mentioned behind which reads a long list of chemicals. The tube is translucent t so you can see how much product is left in the tube. The packing is sturdy and travel friendly and you can easily slip in your satchels and handbags. I think this 25 gram pack is meant for travel purpose only. The packaging is very similar to Lakme Strawberry splash face wash.

Texture:

The face wash has a gel consistency and contains micro granules which sadly do not perform any exfoliating action. It is neither too thick, nor too runny.  The strawberry smell is very refreshing, not overwhelming though.

My experience:

“Old wine in a new bottle”. This is an apt phrase for Lakme Clean up Face Wash. There is nothing new about this face wash. I just like my good old Lakme Strawberry splash face wash.

Lakme Strawberry Splash face wash is my HG face wash and I have been using this face wash since, err, time unknown. I tried various other face wash in between, both drugstore and high end. But it seems that my skin is in love with this face wash and does not want to let go of it. And strawberry face wash is/was one of the most popular face washes offered by Lakme. They always retain the strawberry variant.  It is an old habit of Lakme to change the packaging and name of the product and present as a new one. The performance of this face wash is exactly like the previous one.

The face wash lathers pretty well and you won’t need too much of the product to wash your face. I simply love the cooling sensation it gives whiles washing the face. The face wash contains strawberry extracts which leaves the face squeaky clean and imparts a subtle glow to the face, which however, does not last very long. . The micro granules, which are supposedly strawberry extracts are extremely gentle on the skin and cleanse the face well. It is the squeaky clean effect that has made me to stick to the strawberry splash face wash all these days. No other face wash has given me that squeaky clean effect as the strawberry one does. The face feels thoroughly cleansed and refreshed after each use and leaves the face smooth and supple. The face wash washes off without much hassle and does not leave any soapy residue or film behind .it leaves behind a faint strawberry smell which vanishes after a while, especially if you apply some moisturiser after washing the face. The face does not feel stretchy or dry and you can even skip a moisturiser

The only con of this face wash is that it contains SLS; hence it is not soap free and contains loads of chemicals.

I just love this face for the sole reason that it is just like my all-time favourite Strawberry Face wash.This face wash is a complete value for money. I don’t know if it available in other size also. The retailer offered me the 25 grams pack only. Strawberry splash face wash lovers will surely like this product. Highly recommended.
