Shelf life:
2 years
Packaging:
The lip balm comes packed in a nice white colour cardboard
packaging with a moulded plastic which contains the lip balm. The lip balm comes
in a simple green and white twist up packaging. The lid is made of fibre which
makes it pretty fragile as it can break easily if dropped from a certain
height. The lid does not close with a click sound and becomes pretty lose with
time. So it is not a travel friendly product.
Texture:
The texture of the lip balm is very smooth and soft like
with most of the other lip balms. It glides smoothly and has no stickiness. It
has a kind of citrusy smell which might be bothering to some people. The lip
balm is off white in colour and tends to change colour with time since it is
herbal product. One swipe is enough for moisturising the lips. Extremely dry
lips might need to apply 2 coats.
My
experience:
I have been using this lip balm for more than a month and
I’m more than ready to review this product now. My lips are very dry and always
apply lip balm on my lips out of habit regardless the weather.I had been using Maybelline Baby Lips tinted lip
balm daily, multiple times a day, before getting this lip balm, The balm had worked pretty well for me but
the thought of using tinted lip balm on daily basis disturbed me a bit. Then i
thought of getting the non-tinted version of Baby lips but later read somewhere
that you shouldn’t apply anything on your lips with SPF in it. So after much
consideration I bought this lip balm.
I’m extremely
satisfied with this lip balm. The product not just moisturises the lips but
also improves the texture of the lips. The lip balm also reduces lip
pigmentation with regular usage. The staying power of the lip balm is also
pretty good. It stays for a minimum two hours and even stays after splashing
your face with plain water. It even survives meals and does not completely dry
out the lips even after fading completely.
Since it is non-tinted lip balm, you can even apply beneath
you matte lipstick to prevent the lips from drying. It provides a nice glossy
finish to the lips. The lip balm does not feel waxy and leaves no whitish cast
behind.
I highly recommend this product to everyone. I don’t find
any con with this lip balm except for its packaging. The lip balm does not
contain SPF which is not a con for me, considering that we shouldn’t apply any
product with SPF at night because products used at night should repair our lips
not protect them and SPF does nothing to repair.
Pros:
It intensely moisturises the lip.
Works well on lip pigmentation,
Stays on for good 2 to 3 hours.
Heals chapped lips and makes lips softer
Inexpensive
Silicon, petroleum and preservative free.
Cons:
Fragile packaging.
Does not contain SPF
Fragrance might not appeal to everyone.
