Lakme Enrich Satins #129

Today i am going to review one of my favorite lipsticks in terms of shade, Lakme Enrich Satins Lipstick #129. Lakme had launched their Enrich Satins Lipstick way back in 2010 as a part of their Gypsy range. It is an affordable range of lipsticks priced at RS 225. Lakme Enrich satin range has a variety of shades ranging from pinks to peach, from browns to n*ude.

What Lakme says about Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks?

Packaging:

The lipstick comes packaged in a maroon case with the bullet is encased in golden tube inside. The dull and boring maroon packaging has stayed the same ever since they launched it in 2010.The packaging is quite sturdy and closes with a click so you can carry it in your handbag safely. The lipsticks are numbered and are not named so it might get a bit difficult to locate if you own more than one.

Price:

Rs 225 for 4.4 grams. I suppose these are the only lipsticks whose price has not been hiked.

Texture:

The texture of this lippy is very soft and creamy. It glides on lips like butter and is very moisturizing. You do not need to apply lip balm underneath. They are moderately pigmented but the color can be built up.

Shade:

The shade is something to drool for. Lakme #129 is a universally flattering beautiful peachy brown shade. One swipe gives a decent pigmentation while 2 swipes will give you the shade as you see in the bullet. It is not an over the top shade and would be perfect for every day wear or office wear. The shade does not wash out the face but doesn’t brighten it either. It’s just perfect for daily wear and has no shimmer or frost. It gives a nice semi glossy finish to the lips which makes the lips look very luscious.

Now coming to the cons of this lipstick. The lipstick has a below average staying power. It doesn’t last for more than two hours sans meal and disappears totally without leaving any tint or stain behind. The lipstick is transferrable and transfers easily to cups and glasses. It has weird floral which might be a bothering for sensitive noses.

Last Word:

Lakme enrich satin Shed #129 is a very pretty color but Lakme should definitely do something to improve it formula. The other lipstick in this range like Maybelline Color Sensational , Lotus Herbals Pure Colors and even for that matter Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick have better formula than this one. But the shade is so pretty that i reach out for it most of the time, just for its colour. I think you should give it a try at least once and considering its price it won’t hurt too much on the pocket also.
