What
the company claims about the product:
This refreshing
formula blends the natural sap of the margosa and euphorbia trees with the
bhringraj herb to control dandruff. Eliminates the dryness, flaking and itching
associated with dandruff. Special pH balanced formula is gentle enough for use
every day. Leaves hair fresh, lustrous and full of natural body.
Ingredients:
Gandhak (Sulphur), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Chotidudhi
(Euphorbia thymi folia), Bhringraj (Eclipta erecta), Ritha (Sapindus
mukorossi), Lotion base Q.S.
How to use:
Apply liberally to wet hair and work lather through
strands, from scalp to ends. Rinse well with water. Avoid contact with eyes. If
contact occurs, rinse eyes with water.
Price:
Rs 159 for 210 ml.
The product comes in a translucent pista green colour
bottle with tiny leaves printed on it and a dark green cap. A label with important information about the
company and the product is pasted on the bottle. It comes with a wide nozzle
with no stopper attached so you cannot regulate the amount you need. The wide
nozzle can also lead to wastage of a lot of product. So this product does not
classify as a travel friendly product.
Consistency:
The consistency of this shampoo is really thick so you
will need a pretty good amount to wash your hair. I would advise you to dilute
it with some water so that the shampoo can spread easily and will prevent
wastage as well. The shampoo is of a nice pista green colour and smells of herbs
unlike other over the counter shampoos and conditioner.
My
experience:
I received this product as a part of my hamper from stylecraze.com
and it couldn’t arrive at a more perfect time. My scalp turns extremely dry and flaky
during winter and autumn which results in severe dandruff problem and itchy scalp
leading to severe hair fall. I tried a
number of anti-dandruff shampoos but none could provide a long term benefit.
Then I tried my hands at this shampoo. I was bit
reluctant at first, because I don’t like to experiment much with my shampoo. This
is not a wonder product that will wash off the dandruff at first wash. You will
need to try it at least 3 to 4 times to form a judgment. It does, however
reduces the itchiness of the scalp from the very first wash and leaves the hair
and scalp squeaky clean. With regular usage, i noticed a considerable reduction
in the dandruff. Now I can’t really say whether this reduction is due to weather
change (as it's summer now) or because of this shampoo.
Though the shampoo claims to contain the benefit of both
shampoo and conditioner, it does nothing to condition the hair. You
will be left with rough and unruly hair if you do not condition your hair post
shampooing. So a conditioner is a complete must with this shampoo.
Overall it a nice budget anti dandruff shampoo, any day
better than the chemical and detergent laden anti dandruff shampoos. The is a
herbal shampoo so you can safely use it daily without worrying about the
adverse effects on the health of your hair and scalp. Give it a try if you
suffer from dandruff problem. Hopefully, it will not disappoint you.
Pros:
Affordable
It cleanses the hair well
Relieves of itchy and dandruff
prone scalp with regular usage.
Cons:
The consistency is quite thick.
Dries out the hair if used without
a conditioner.
I would give this a 3.5/5

You really make it seem so easy with your
ReplyDeletepresentation but I find this topic to be actually something
that I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the
hang of it!
